The Livingston County Industrial Development Agency (LCIDA) is a public benefit corporation of the State of New York authorized under Section 18A of the General Municipal Law. The LCIDA was created through a home rule request to the New York State Legislature which was granted a Chapter 132 of the Laws of 1973. The board consists of seven members, all appointed by the Livingston County Board of Supervisors; They serve at the pleasure of the board.

Mission

The mission of the Industrial Development Agency is to create and retain employment opportunities for the residents of Livingston County and generate tax revenues to support government services. This mission is accomplished through the financing, development, sponsorship, acquisition, construction, and equipping of certain economic development projects. Through the fulfillment of the agency’s mission, the agency expects to deliver employment, health, general prosperity, economic welfare, and needed services for the residents of Livingston County.

Meeting Schedule

Regular monthly meetings are held on the first Friday of the month except when such dates precede or immediately follow a holiday. Special meetings are called as necessary. All meetings are held at the Livingston County Government Center unless otherwise identified. Public Notices of all regular agency meetings are placed in the agency’s official newspapers. Notice of special meetings are also published or posted in accordance with New York’s open meetings law.
